O Yeong-su, Squid game actor charged with Sexual Misconduct

Korean actor O Yeong-su who came into the spot light with his role in Squid Game has been in hot waters because of his sexual misconduct. We know we know that its kind of odd at his age, but this incident allegedly happened in the year 2017 so he was 5 years younger with a better blood flow back then.

The 77-year-old veteran actor, was released from the The Seongnam branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors Office but still faces charges against him.

O Yeong-su and his sex saga

The sex allegation against O Yeong-su was filed in the year 2021. The grieved party, the girl claiming to be at the receiving end asked the court to reopen the case which got closed in April. The Squid Game actor has obviously denied all the allegations on him. He said in the interview by the Korean JTBC that “I just held her hand to guide the way around the lake. I apologized because [the person] said she wouldn’t make a fuss about it but it doesn’t mean that I admit the charges.”

The police officer who was assigned to the case told the AFP that the charge pressed against the Squid Game cast actor “is not factually incorrect.” He didn’t gave much info on that when further asked but there is something fishy because O Yeong-su was featured in a commercial in Korea which was taken off-air.

Squid Game role

The actor played a role of an old man in Squid Game namely Oh ll-nam. He bagged the Golden Globe award for his role as the best supporting actor in Squid Game recently in 2022.

Squid Game second edition

The second edition of Squid game has already been announced for future but after this incident with O Yeong-su, there has been no word on his inclusion in Squid Game 2 after his rendezvous with the law.
